Abstract
El presente trabajo ·de Investigación Científica tiene como objetivo principal tratar las
aguas residuales del distrito de Chao - Viril, Región la Libertad. El presente estudio se
diseñó y co~struyó un humedal artificial de flujo subsuperficial a nivel piloto, para depurar
los efluentes líquidos residuales, utilizando como vegetación autóctona emergente la
Typlla Latifolia, la cual se transplanto a partir de rizomas y raíces, obtenidos de los
alrededores de la planta de tratamiento.
La Investigación Científica se realizó utilizando un humedal artificial piloto construido en
la parte contigua a las dos Pozas de Oxidación que sirvieron como fuente de alimentación
por caída libre. El sistema tiene las siguientes dimensiones: 3.30m de largo, 1.80 m de
ancho, 1,10 m de profundidad, .material de ladrillo, barrera impermeable de mortero de
cemento 0,03 m de espesor, sistema de entrada y salida del humedal con tubería de PVC.
El módulo se encuentra en un área de terreno de aproximadamente 20.00 m2
, teniendo
como sustrato grava gruesa, arena mediana y arena fina; además el sistema de entrada y
salida tuvieron sus respectivas válvulas de control de material acero
~o material de estudio se utilizó las aguas servidas del mencionado distrito, se
caracterizó la muestra al inicio, durante la operación y al final del proceso del tratamiento
en el humedal, para luego ser verificado experimentalmente en el campo como en el
Laboratorio de Química, llegando a reportar una alta reducción de la concentración de la
Demanda Bioquímica de Oxigeno (DB05), Coliformes Totales, Demanda Química de
Oxigeno, Sales en General y la medición de pH; lográndose una remoción del 87 % para
el DB05;99 % para el Coliformes Totales; utilizando el método " Standard Method.
Multiple-Tube. Se tuvo un tiempo de residencia hidráulica en las pozas fue de 7 días.
Los resllltados obtenidos, demuestran la efectividad de los Rllmedales artificiales en la
depuración de aguas residuales, lográndose obtener parámetros por debajo de los limites
