In order to obtain the pertinent information it brings over of the climatological events " El Niño " in the city of Tumbes, one proceeded to compile information in different institutions and interviewing persons who have experienced experiences of the above mentioned phenomena in this north border of our country, highlighting that the author during the last event 1997-1998 used good part of his time doing observations and the photographic unpublished captures that enrich the present investigation. The results of this Descriptive investigation, Transeccional, Retrospective, indicate that the population of You Should fall down it has been and he will continue being a protagonist of events "El Niño" on the north coast of Peru, which in occasions can be destroyers, affecting the regional economy and of the country, in case of the necessary measurements not be taking to anticipate and to mitigate the own consequences of these natural phenomena. These events have been characterized by the invasion of marine hot waters that increase the superficial temperature of the water of sea, provoking evaporation, intensity of the winds, surge, and especially torrential rains that increase the flows of rivers and gullies, bringing I obtain biological alterations in the sea and in the coastal zones that can provoke positive or negative impacts, the above mentioned can manage to be catastrophic (as in 1983 and 1998) in diverse human activities, specially in the sectors agricultural, fishing and of health, with significant effects on the company, the economy and the natural resources. It is a question so of a natural event that it is going to continue presenting to diverse intervals and with different intensities, which impacts depend in the main on the human improvisation, being translated in floods, destruction of roads and bridges, in shortage of food, of drinkable water and of electric power, in service of deficient or interrupted health, etc. They have presented in the persons diseases as malaria, respiratory, cutaneous, digestive and inclusive the death, the same ones that can be avoided if the population was due prepared and organized, minimizing the hurts; of the same form there can be avoided the destruction of the bridges, ways and sewers or it would be possible to take advantage of the positive impacts if programs of education were executed in that they could inform the personnel of the different state, private entities and the organizations of the civil society of this north border of our country. One concludes that during the periods from October, 1982 to June, 1983 and from November, 1997 to May, 1998, You Fall down it suffered the negative impacts of rainfalls and enormously abundant unloads and climatological well-known changes that provoked environmental deterioration, beside affecting the agriculture coded in the almost total fall of the production of banana, the health, with presence of malaria as one of the principal reasons of morbidity that overcomes his percentage frequency with regard to absent periods of "El Niño". Equally there is well-known the unloading of marine species on there having had been increased his capture, which he contributes to the availability of proteins to the population. There is claimed that the present study contributes to the systematized knowledge brings over of the reasons and the impacts that cause these natural events, so that authorities and civil society, they assume his responsibility for with the family and with the company, stimulating the minimization of the vulnerability and contributing to a better quality of life in this city.
