Abstract

The present work of investigation is a study descriptive, sectional and retrospective the main object of this research was to determine if the medical prescription in beneficiaries of Seguro Integral de Salud hospitalized in the Pediatric Service of the Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo - July 2009 to June 2010, comply with the indicators of the Manual de Indicadores de Gestión y Uso de Medicamentos set for the Sistema Integral de Suministro de Medicamentos e Insumos Médico Quirúrgicos (SISMED). The results were: 3.72 average prescription drugs, 98.02% of drugs in the National Essential Drug Request, 97.29% of medicines prescribed in Title Universal Joint, 32.20% of antibiotics and injectables 65.96%; concluding that the 60% of the indicators satisfied with the values set for the Manual de Indicadores de Gestión y Uso de Medicamentos (SISMED).
