Abstract
Esta investigación, concierne al tipo descriptivo correlacional cuya finalidad es determinar el Apoyo familiar y calidad de vida del adulto mayor del CAM El Porvenir, provincia Trujillo. La muestra estuvo conformada por un conjunto de 36 personas mayores autovalentes cuyas etapas de vida oscilan entre 60 años y 80 años. A quienes se destinó la técnica denominada encuesta a fin de recoger información específica relacionada a los indicadores de las variables apoyo familiar y calidad de vida en el adulto mayor mediante el uso de un cuestionario. También se utilizó la técnica llamada entrevista semi estructurada, permitiendo obtener información cualitativa respecto al problema objeto de investigación, anotando las ideas, opiniones e impresiones de las personas mayores en un registro de entrevista. Concluyendo que el apoyo familiar influye positivamente en la calidad de vida del adulto mayor en un 92.0% los adultos mayores del CAM El Porvenir, siempre recibe apoyo familiar y esto frecuentemente influye en su calidad de vida. Siendo los descendientes de primer grado la fundamental base de apoyo y en algunos casos los nietos (as) de manera que tiene efectos en su calidad de vida. Así mismo se comprobó mediante el “test” Chi-cuadrado, la hipótesis de que el apoyo familiar influye significativamente en la calidad de vida del adulto mayor al fortalecer su dimensión física, psicológica y social, con el p_valor igual a 0.123, a un nivel de significación del 5%.
ABSTRACT This research concerns the descriptive correlational type whose purpose is to determine the family support and quality of life of the elderly from CAM El Porvenir, Trujillo province. The sample consisted of a group of 36 self-supporting older people whose life stages range from 60 years to 80 years. To whom the technique called survey was intended in order to collect specific information related to the indicators of the variables family support and quality of life in the elderly through the use of a questionnaire. The technique called semi-structured interview was also used, allowing obtaining qualitative information regarding the problem under investigation, noting the ideas, opinions and impressions of the elderly in an interview record. Concluding that family support positively influences the quality of life of the elderly in 92.0% of the elderly in CAM El Porvenir, they always receive family support, and this frequently influences their quality of life. Being the descendants of the first degree the fundamental base of support and in some cases the grandchildren, in a way that has effects on their quality of life. Likewise, the hypothesis that family support significantly influences the quality of life of the elderly by strengthening their physical, psychological, and social dimension was verified by means of the Chi-square “test”, with the p_value equal to 0.123, at a level significance of 5%.
