Abstract
Abstract To evaluate the existence of the relationship between moderate physical activity and stress in medical students from the National University of Trujillo during the period 2023. Materials and Methods: Observational, descriptive, cross-sectional and relational study, which evaluated medical students from the National University of Trujillo. The IPAQ questionnaire was carried out in its short version to categorize the level of physical activity and the Global Perception of Stress Scale adapted for Peruvian university students (EPGE-13). Results: Of the total sample, 53.7% had moderate physical activity. It was obtained that of the students who perform moderate physical activity, 25.8% had a moderate level of stress, 24.2% high stress, and 3.7% very high stress. The relationship between both variables was evaluated using the Chi square test and a p value <0.001 was obtained. Conclusion: Significant evidence is found of the existence of a relationship between moderate physical activity and stress in medical students.
