Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como propósito determinar si la aplicación de un programa de estrategias cognitivas contribuye a mejorar la comprensión lectora en estudiantes del segundo grado de secundaria de la Institución Educativa Liceo, Trujillo, 2021. La población estuvo conformada por 324 estudiantes y la muestra fue por 35 estudiantes. Se tuvo como resultado que antes de aplicar el programa de estrategias cognitivas un 34.3% de los estudiantes tenían un nivel en inicio en comprensión lectora y después de aplicar el programa se logró que el 51.4% logren un nivel destacado en comprensión lectora. Tras realizar la contrastación de hipótesis se pudo determinar que existe diferencia significativa entre los puntajes obtenidos en el post test con los obtenidos en del pre test en comprensión lectora y en sus dimensiones. Se concluyó que la aplicación de un programa de estrategias cognitivas si contribuye a mejorar la comprensión lectora en estudiantes del segundo grado de secundaria de la institución educativa Liceo, Trujillo, 2021 con una T de Student de 13.0056 y p< 0.05.
The purpose of this research was to determine if the application of a program of cognitive strategies contributes to improving reading comprehension in second grade high school students of the Liceo Educational Institution, Trujillo, 2021. The population consisted of 324 students and the sample was by 35 students. The result was that before applying the cognitive strategies program, 34.3% of the students had a starting level in reading comprehension and after applying the program, 51.4% achieved an outstanding level in reading comprehension.
