Abstract
Abstract The present research project will be carried out with the objective of demonstrating the effectiveness of intravenous lidocaine in continuous infusion and conventional analgesia in the management of postoperative pain in oncological patients undergoing hemicolectomy in IREN – NORTE. It will be an analytical, longitudinal, experimental, prospective approach. The sample will consist of 86 oncological patients undergoing hemicolectomy surgery who will receive analgesic therapy. This sample will be divided into two equal groups through simple randomization with a table of random numbers technique, a single-blind study. The results will be presented in double entry tables with the number of cases in absolute and percentage figures, different statistical tests will be carried out depending on the stage of the work, these tests are: Kolmogorov Smirnov normality test that will seek to establish the results of the distribution, and then, depending on whether the results are used as a parameter, a test such as Student's T or Wilcoxon's test can be used to compare the formulated hypotheses. At all times, ethical principles and scientific rigor will be considered.
