Estudio comparativo del diagnóstico sagital de la clase esqueletal entre los ángulos beta y ANB en una población trujillana, 2021

| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio tuvo como propósito comparar el diagnóstico sagital de la clase esqueletal entre los ángulos Beta y ANB en una población trujillana. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal, evaluando un total de 100 telerradiografias de pacientes (rango:18 a 35 años) que asistieron a un centro radiográfico, de los cuales 50 fueron mujeres y 50 hombres. Sobre papel de cefalostato adherido sobre ellas, se realizaron los trazados de los puntos N, A, B y C y de las líneas derivadas, para obtener los ángulos ANB y Beta. Al comparar los ángulos ANB y Beta, se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en el diagnóstico de la relación esquelética Clase II, siendo diagnosticados como Clase II en menor frecuencia por el ángulo Beta que con el ángulo ANB (p.05) para el diagnóstico de Clase I y Clase III. Al evaluar la relación esquelética sagital con el ángulo Beta, 59% fueron Clase I, 31.62° ± 2.10°; el 20% fueron Clase II, 24.03° ± 2.60°; mientras que el 21% fueron Clase III, 40.31° ± 4.20°. Con ángulo ANB, se encontró que el 50% fueron Clase I, 2.65° ± 1.12°; el 42% fueron Clase II, 5.96° ± 1.15°; mientras que el 8% fueron Clase III, -1.89° ± 1.75°. No hubo diferencia estadísticamente significativa con respecto al sexo ni concordancia entre los ángulos ANB y Beta en el diagnóstico de las relaciones esqueletales. Hubo diferencia estadísticamente significativa en el diagnóstico sagital de la relación esquelética de clase II (p< 0.05), presentado en menor frecuencia el ángulo Beta que el ángulo ANB. No se encontraron diferencias en el diagnóstico sagital de las relaciones esqueléticas Clase I y Clase III. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The present study aimed to compare the sagittal diagnosis of the skeletal class between the Beta and ANB angles in a Trujillo population.. A descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted, evaluating a total of 100 radiographs of patients attended in a radiographic center (range: 18 to 35 years), of which 50 were women and 50 men. On cephalostat paper adhered on them, the tracings of the points N, A, B and C and of the derived lines were made, to obtain the angles ANB and Beta. When comparing the ANB and Beta angles, statistically significant differences were found in the diagnosis of the Class II skeletal relationship, being diagnosed as Class II less frequently by the Beta angle than with the ANB angle (p 0.05) were found for Class I and Class III diagnoses.
