Abstract
El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar cuál es el nivel de conocimientos del
Cirujano Dentista sobre enfermedades y condiciones periimplantarias y su relación con
capacitación profesional en el distrito de Trujillo, Perú 2021; la muestra estuvo
conformada por 90 encuestas de igual número de Cirujanos Dentistas que cumplieron
con los criterios de selección, inclusión y exclusión, seleccionados de manera aleatoria y
divididos en tres grupos según su capacitación profesional para su respectivo análisis.
El instrumento que se utilizó fue una encuesta virtual de 21 preguntas la que fue
diseñada y validada a juicio de expertos; y enviada a los correos electrónicos personales,
centros y consultorios odontológicos en el distrito de Trujillo.
Se determinó el nivel de conocimiento del Cirujano Dentista sobre enfermedades y
condiciones periimplantarias (EPI) según capacitación profesional, donde se observó
que del total de Especialistas y residentes y/o con estudios de posgrado en Implantes
dentales el 57.1% y el 27.8% respectivamente presentaron un nivel de conocimiento
aceptable, mientras que en los Cirujanos Dentistas de formación general solamente el
1.5% presentaron un nivel de conocimiento aceptable (p<0.01).
Se concluyó que el nivel de conocimiento del Cirujano Dentista sobre enfermedades y
condiciones periimplantarias según capacitación profesional es aceptable en los
Especialistas, regular en residentes o con estudios de posgrado en Implantes y deficiente
en los Cirujanos Dentistas de formación general en el distrito de Trujillo, Perú 2021.
The objective of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of the Dental Surgeon about peri-implant diseases and conditions and its relationship with professional training in the district of Trujillo, Peru 2021; The sample consisted of 90 surveys of the same number of Dental Surgeons who met the selection, inclusion and exclusion criteria, selected randomly and divided into three groups according to their professional training for their respective analysis. The instrument used was a virtual survey of 21 questions, which was designed and validated according to expert judgment; and sent to personal emails, centers and dental offices in the district of Trujillo. The level of knowledge of the Dental Surgeon about peri-implant diseases and conditions (EPI) was determined according to professional training, where it was observed that of the total of specialists and residents, 57.1% and 27.8% respectively presented an acceptable level of knowledge, while in the Generally trained dental surgeons only 1.5% presented an acceptable level of knowledge (p <0.01). It was concluded that the level of knowledge of the Dental Surgeon about peri-implant diseases and conditions according to professional training is acceptable in the Specialists, regular in residents or with postgraduate studies in Implant and deficient in the General Training Dental Surgeons in the district of Trujillo, Peru 2021.
