Abstract
El presente estudio contribuye a cumplir con el cuarto objetivo de desarrollo sostenible, que es brindar una educación de calidad que fomente la tolerancia entre las personas y contribuya al desarrollo de sociedades más pacíficas, siendo su propósito determinar la mejora de las competencias de desarrollo personal, ciudadanía y cívica a partir del uso de un taller de educación en valores para de los discentes del cuarto de media de la Institución Educativa N.º 81014 “Pedro Mercedes Ureña” del distrito de Trujillo en el año 2023. La investigación se desarrolló bajo el enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada y de diseño experimental de corte transversal. La muestra utilizada fue probabilística, considerando a 37 estudiantes, seleccionados a partir del muestreo aleatorio simple. Como instrumento de recolección de datos se utilizó un cuestionario para evaluar las competencias de desarrollo personal, ciudadanía y cívica, sometido a validez de contenido y análisis de confiabilidad. Los datos fueron procesados haciendo uso de la estadística descriptiva e inferencial. Se evidencia que existe diferencias entre las puntuaciones obtenidas en el pretest y postest, a partir del cuestionario aplicado a los estudiantes de cuarto de secundaria, siendo la puntuación obtenida a través de la prueba Wilconxon de -5,310 con una puntuación de 0,00, inferior a 0,05 lo que permite concluir que la aplicación de un taller de educación en valores mejora significativamente las competencias de desarrollo personal, ciudadanía y cívica de los estudiantes del cuarto de secundaria de la Institución Educativa N.º 81014 “Pedro Mercedes Ureña” del distrito de Trujillo en el año 2023.
This study contributes to fulfilling the fourth objective of sustainable development, which is to provide a quality education that fosters tolerance among people and contributes to the development of more peaceful societies, its purpose being to determine the improvement of personal development, citizenship and civic skills through the use of a values education workshop for fourth-year high school students of the Educational Institution No. 81014 "Pedro Mercedes Ureña" of the Trujillo district in 2023. The research was developed under the quantitative approach, of applied type and cross-sectional experimental design. The sample used was probabilistic, considering 37 students, selected from simple random sampling. As a data collection instrument, a questionnaire was used to evaluate personal development, citizenship and civic skills, subjected to content validity and reliability analysis. The data were processed using descriptive and inferential statistics. It is evident that there are differences between the scores obtained in the pretest and posttest, from the questionnaire applied to fourth year high school students, the score obtained through the Wilconxon test being -5.310 with a score of 0.00, less than 0.05, which allows us to conclude that the application of a values education workshop significantly improves the personal development, citizenship and civic skills of fourth year high school students of Educational Institution No. 81014 "Pedro Mercedes Ureña" of the Trujillo district in the year 2023.
