Factores sociodemográficos y su relación con los estereotipos negativos hacia la vejez del estudiante de enfermería

Abstract
La presente investigación cuantitativa, descriptivo, correlacional, transversal, tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre los factores sociodemográficos y los estereotipos negativos hacia la vejez del estudiante de enfermería de la Facultad de Enfermería de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, 2021. Muestra constituida por 236 estudiantes del IV, VI y VII ciclo que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. Se utilizó un instrumento sobre factores demográficos y cuestionario sobre Estereotipos Negativos de Vejez (CENVE) válido y confiable. Se tuvo en cuenta las consideraciones éticas. La información fue procesada en el programa estadístico IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences - SPSS Versión 25. Fue realizado análisis descriptivo, para variables cualitativas frecuencias y porcentajes y se utilizó la correlación de Pearson para relación de variables, considerando significativo cuando p es ≤ 0,05 e Intervalo de Confianza del 95%. Los resultados reportan que los del sexo femenino fueron (94,1%), las edades de 18 a 29 años (99,6%), estudiantes del VII ciclo (36%) y los mayores contactos con personas mayores estuvo en todos los días (47%). El 44,1% tiene un estereotipo negativo bajo hacia la vejez. Las variables sexo, ciclo académico y convivencia con el adulto mayor no tienen relación significativa (p > 0.05), con el estereotipo negativos hacia la vejez. La variable edad tienen una relación significativa (p < 0.05). Los resultados contribuirán a que la imagen social de las personas mayores sea valorada y re-valorada y se tengan una percepción positiva de la vejez
The objective of this quantitative, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional research was to determine the relationship between sociodemographic factors and negative stereotypes towards old age of the nursing student of the Faculty of Nursing of the National University of Trujillo, 2021. Sample constituted by 236 students of the IV, VI and VII cycle who met the inclusion criteria. An instrument on demographic factors and a valid and reliable questionnaire on Negative Stereotypes of Old Age (CENVE) were used. Ethical considerations were taken into account. The information was processed in the statistical program IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences - SPSS Version 25. A descriptive analysis was performed, for qualitative variables frequencies and percentages and the Pearson correlation was used for the relationship of variables, considering significant when p is ≤ 0 .05 and Confidence Interval of 95%. The results report that those of the female sex were (94.1%), the ages of 18 to 29 years (99.6%), students of the VII cycle (36%) and the greatest contacts with older people were in every day (47%). 44.1% have a low negative stereotype towards old age. The variables sex, academic cycle and coexistence with the elderly do not have a significant relationship (p > 0.05), with the negative stereotype towards old age. The age variable has a significant relationship (p < 0.05). The results will contribute to the social image of older people being valued and re-valued and to have a positive perception of old age
