Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como propósito explicar el desarrollo de la cultura política en la ciudad Trujillo durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial (1939-1945). Por ello, se plantearon como objetivos: analizar el panorama político en el Perú y Trujillo entre 1936-1939, explicar la relación entre el gobierno de Prado y la ciudad de Trujillo 1939-1945 y explicar las características de la cultura política en la ciudad de Trujillo entre 1939-1945. A tal efecto, las fuentes primarias y secundarias utilizadas durante la investigación fueron trabajadas metodológicamente desde la perspectiva de la Nueva Historia Política, en la cual prevalece la relación del marco donde los hombres forman sus acciones y discurso. Finalmente, se concluye que la cultura política de la ciudad de Trujillo entre 1939 y 1945 se desarrolló a partir de los cambios mundiales, nacionales y locales, pues la Segunda Guerra Mundial revalorizó a la democracia en la cultura política occidental, lo que propició una paulatina apertura gubernamental en el país y generó un sentimiento de unidad ante un enemigo mayor, dando estabilidad a la administración central, que desarrolló un proyecto nacional; mientras la provincial modernizó su aspecto urbanístico.
ABSTRACT The following research aims to explain the development of the politic culture in Trujillo City during the Second World War (1939-1945). Therefore, the objectives were to analyze the political panorama in Peru and Trujillo City between the years 1936-1939, to explain the relationship between the government of President Prado and the City of Trujillo 1939-1945, and to explain the characteristics of political culture in Trujillo City between the years 1939-1945. To this end, the primary and secondary sources used during this research were methodologically worked from the perspective of the New Political History, in which the relationship of the framework prevails, where men form their actions and discourses. Finally, it was concluded that the political culture of Trujillo City, between the years 1939-1945, developed as a result of global, national, and local changes, because the Second World War revalued democracy in the Western political culture, which led to a gradual political opening in the country and bring about a feeling of unity against a major enemy, giving stability to the central government to develop a national and provincial modernized its urban aspect.
