Abstract
El objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar los factores de riesgo asociados a la prevalencia de anemia ferropénica en niños menores de 5 años atendidos en el Centro de Salud Vista Alegre, este trabajo de investigación se realizó los meses de enero-octubre del año 2023, el Establecimiento de Salud está ubicado en el distrito de Carmen Alto, provincia de Huamanga, departamento de Ayacucho. Dado que, la anemia ferropénica es un problema muy serio en la salud pública, especialmente en paísesAenAvíasAde desarrolloAcomoAelAPerú, es importanteAconsiderarAsusAposiblesAimpactos. El tipo de diseño utilizado fue descriptivo-correlacional, observacional y no experimental; la muestra estuvo constituida por 250 niños menores de 5 años. Los resultados muestran una prevalencia 20.4% de anemia ferropénica; los factores relacionados en la dimensión persona como la edad, los nacimientos prematuros, pequeños, y la alimentación complementaria deficiente; los factores relacionados a la dimensión medio ambiente como zonas de alta seguridad alimentaria, parasitosis, saneamiento ambiental deficiente y familias que desconocen sobre información nutricional, se encuentran asociados a la prevalencia de anemia ferropénica (p<0.05).
The objective of this research was to determine the risk factors associated with the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia in children under 5 years of age treated at the Vista Alegre Health Center. This research work was carried out during the months of January-October 2023. The Health Establishment is located in the district of Carmen Alto, province of Huamanga, department of Ayacucho. Since, iron deficiency anemia is a very serious public health problem, especially in developing countries like Peru, it is important to consider its possible impacts. The type of design used was descriptive-correlational, observational and non-experimental; The sample consisted of 250 children under 5 years of age. The results show a 20.4% prevalence of iron deficiency anemia; factors related to the person dimension such as age, premature births, small births, and poor complementary feeding; Factors related to the environmental dimension, such as areas of high food security, parasitosis, poor environmental sanitation, and families who are unaware of nutritional information, are associated with the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia (p<0.05).
