Abstract
La presente investigación es de tipo descriptivo, correlacional, de corte transversal, que tuvo como objetivo encontrar la relación que existe entre el “Conocimiento y cuidado que brinda la enfermera al paciente covid-19 con tubo endotraqueal, en el servicio de emergencia del HRDT”. La muestra estuvo constituida por 50 enfermeras que laboran en el servicio de emergencia del HRDT. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron: el Cuestionario para valorar el nivel de conocimiento sobre los cuidados al paciente con covid-19 con tubo endotraqueal, elaborado por Gutiérrez y cols. (2016) y la lista de cotejo para valorar el cuidado de enfermería al paciente con covid-19 con tubo endotraqueal, elaborado por Nuñuvera y Vásquez (2017), ambos instrumentos modificados por la autora para la presente investigación. Los resultados evidenciaron que: el 60% de las enfermeras tienen un nivel de conocimiento medio, el 28% nivel bajo y el 12% nivel alto. En cuanto al cuidado que brinda la enfermera, el 54% es valorado como inadecuado y el 46% como adecuado. Se comprobó que existe relación altamente significativa entre las variables (p =0.000)
The present resarch is descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional, which aimed to find the relationship between the “Knowledge and care provided by the nurse to the covid-19 patient with an endotracheal tube, in the emergency service of the HRDT”. The sample consisted of 50 nurses who work in the HRDT emergency service. The isntruments used were: the Questionnaire to assess the leve lof knowledge about the care of the patient with covid-19 with an endotracheal tube, prepared by Gutiérrez (2016) and the checklist to assess the nursing care of the patient wih covid-19 with endotracheal tube, prepared by Nuñuvera and Vásquez (2017), both instruments modified by the autor. The results showed that: 60% of the nurses have a médium level of knowledge, 28% have a low level and 12% have a high level. Regarding the care provided by the nurse, 54% is valued as inadequate and 46% as adequate. It was found that there is a highly significant relationship between the variables (p <0.000)
