Abstract
The objective of this quantitative, cross-sectional correlational study was to determine the relationship between the level of maternal knowledge about early stimulation and the psychomotor development of the infant user of the CRED service at the Leoncio Prado Huamachuco Hospital. The sample universe was made up of 136 mothers of infants. Two instruments were used to collect data: Knowledge about early stimulation and the Peruvian Child Development Assessment Test of the MINSA. The relationship of the variables was determined with the Spearman correlation test. It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the level of maternal knowledge about early stimulation and the psychomotor development of the infant (Spearman 0.621: moderate positive correlation); In relation to the level of maternal knowledge about early stimulation, 66% of mothers have a high level, 21% have a medium level and 13% have a low level. Regarding the psychomotor development of infants, 53% have a normal level, 27% have a risk and 20% have a disorder
