Abstract
La presente investigación es básica, descriptiva y transversal, y tuvo como propósito determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre VIH/SIDA, de los alumnos del 4to, 5to y 6to año de estomatología de la universidad nacional de Trujillo. 2015. El grupo de estudio estuvo conformado por 69 estudiantes, divididos en tres grupos, cuarto, quinto y sexto año, y género. Se aplicó un cuestionario de 20 ítems, cuya validez de contenido fue dada por juicio de expertos y la confiabilidad por una prueba piloto. Los resultados obtenidos en el nivel de conocimiento sobre VIH/SIDA de los estudiantes de cuarto, quinto y sexto año es bueno en un 56.5%, regular 43.5%, no reportándose nivel malo. Se puede concluir que no existe una diferencia estadística significativa entre nivel de conocimiento de VIH/SIDA y año de estudios, predominando el nivel bueno; en un 45%, 57.1% y 64.3% en los alumnos de cuarto, quinto y sexto año respectivamente.
