Abstract
The objective of this research is to determine the impact of the implementation of a pharmaceutical intervention in the colonic preparation of patients from Gastro Clinic - Trujillo, 2022. Of a population of 220 patients scheduled for colonoscopy, through non-parametric convenience sampling, the participation of 20 patients was determined, who had the following distribution: The experimental group was made up of 10 patients; and the control group was also made up of 10 patients. Likewise, informed consent was used. The colonic preparation of the experimental group (EG), in which the pharmaceutical intervention was implemented, was compared with that of the control group (CG), in which the pharmaceutical intervention was not implemented; The Boston Bowel Cleanliness Scale was used in both groups; The colonic preparation score was calculated in the experimental group (EG), in which 7.7 points were obtained; In the same way, the colonic preparation score was calculated in the control group (CG), in which 5.5 points were obtained. It was statistically demonstrated using Levene's test and Student's t test, that the average colonic preparation score of the experimental group was higher than the average colonic preparation score of the control group, therefore, it is concluded that the intervention pharmaceutical in colonic preparation had an impact on the results of the experimental group compared to the results of the control group.
