Abstract
El presente estudio, se orientó con el propósito de describir la importancia de la producción de textos escritos en estudiantes de educación primaria, porque en la actualidad existe una dificultad en la producción de textos escritos, debido a la carencia del hábito y la inexistente promoción y estimulo por la lectura y escritura. Por otro lado, la teoría que sustenta el estudio, es la sociocultural de Lev Vigotsky, quien sostiene que el aprendizaje es social y cultural, social porque se aprende en interacción con los demás y cultural, porque responde al contexto en el que se desenvuelve el sujeto que aprende. Las conclusiones teóricas permitieron conocer la importancia de la producción de textos escritos en la formación integral de los estudiantes, como parte de las competencias comunicativas, con las cuales, los estudiantes se apropian del sistema de escritura, para promover la interacción entre las personas al participar en la vida social y cultural. En estas interacciones, el lenguaje se usa de diferentes modos para construir sentidos en los textos.
