Abstract
: Evaluar la relación entre el síndrome de burnout estudiantil y los hábitos alimentarios de los alumnos de medicina de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo. MATERIAL Y MÉTODO: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y analítico transversal bivariado, con 189 estudiantes de la Facultad de Medicina de la UNT de primero a sexto año. Para asociar ambas variables se utilizó la prueba estadística Chi cuadrado. P <0.05 se consideró valor significativo. Intervalo de confianza 95%. RESULTADOS: De los 189 alumnos, el 96,2% tiene síndrome de burnout estudiantil, siendo el nivel leve el predominante con 64% (n=121), se reportaron niveles moderado y profundo en el 28% (n=53) y 4,2% (n=8) de estudiantes de medicina respectivamente. Respecto a los hábitos alimentarios, el 89,9% (n=170) de los estudiantes participantes presentaron hábitos alimentarios adecuados. Al evaluar las dos variables del estudio, se encontró una relación estadísticamente significativa entre ellas (p= 0.001) CONCLUSIONES: La frecuencia del síndrome de burnout es de 96.2%, el nivel leve es el más preponderante en todos los años académicos de primero a sexto. Hay una relación estadísticamente significativa entre el síndrome de burnout estudiantil y los hábitos alimentarios en los estudiantes de medicina de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo.

Regarding eating habits, 89.9% (n=170) of the participating students presented adequate eating habits. When evaluating the two study variables, a statistically significant relationship was found between them (p= 0.001).
