Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación, titulado Factores sociales y personales en la procrastinación académica de los estudiantes de Educación Primaria de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, tiene como objetivo general, Identificar los factores sociales y personales que influyen a la procrastinación académica en las estudiantes del IV ciclo de Educación Primaria. Para este estudio se contó con la participación voluntaria de 13 estudiantes de la Escuela Profesional de Educación Primaria que se encontraban cursando el IV ciclo de su carrera. La metodología utilizada para comprender el fenómeno en estudio fue una investigación de tipo cualitativa con abordaje fenomenológico. El abordaje consta de tres momentos, primero, la descripción fenomenológica, en la que identificamos cada uno de los discursos de los participantes con relación al fenómeno en estudio, como segundo momento tenemos la reducción fenomenológica, en donde se selecciona la parte esencial de cada discurso brindado por los estudiantes y finalmente tenemos la interpretación fenomenológica, la cual consta en develar los significados presentes en las descripciones. Durante el análisis de resultados se determinaron veintiuno categorías de las unidades de significado interpretadas que representan al fenómeno de estudio, en las cuales se enfatiza los factores tanto sociales como personales tales como la motivación, la organización del tiempo, elaboración de un plan de vida, las redes sociales virtuales, el grupo de amigos influyen significativamente en la procrastinación en los estudiantes de IV ciclo de Educación Primaria de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo para el desarrollo efectivo de sus actividades académicas.
ABSTRACT The present research work, entitled Social and personal factors in the academic procrastination of the students of Primary Education of the National University of Trujillo, has as a general objective, Identify the social and personal factors that influence academic procrastination in the students of the IV Primary Education cycle. For this study, there was the voluntary participation of 13 students from the Professional School of Primary Education who were studying the IV cycle of their career. The methodology used to understand the phenomenon under study was a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The approach consists of three moments, first, the phenomenological description, in which we identify each of the speeches of the participants in relation to the phenomenon under study, as a second moment we have the phenomenological reduction, where the essential part of each discourse is selected provided by the students and finally we have the phenomenological interpretation, which consists in revealing the meanings present in the descriptions. During the analysis of results, twenty-one categories of the interpreted units of meaning that represent the phenomenon of study were determined, in which both social and personal factors such as motivation, time organization, elaboration of a life plan, are emphasized. Virtual social networks, the group of friends significantly influence procrastination in students of the IV cycle of Primary Education of the National University of Trujillo for the effective development of their academic activities.
