Abstract
In the present research, the author set out to analyse the connection between job satisfaction (both in its intrinsic and extrinsic aspects) and job stress in nurses at the Hospital de Apoyo de Carhuaz during the year 2022. From the methodological point of view, a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional study design was adopted. The sample consisted of 24 nurses and data collection was carried out through surveys. The results indicate that 50% of the nurses surveyed rated job satisfaction as poor, while 41.7% rated it as fair and 8.3% rated it as good. In relation to intrinsic factors, 50.0% of the respondents stated that their job satisfaction was fair, while extrinsic factors were associated with low satisfaction in 58.3% of the nurses. Regarding the level of stress, 33.3% reported a low level, 45.8% a medium level and 20.8% a high level. The findings led to the conclusion that there is an inverse relationship between job satisfaction (both intrinsic and extrinsic factors) and job stress in the sample studied at the Carhuaz Support Hospital in the year 2022. This was validated through statistical analysis using Spearman's Rho coefficient, with values of -0.684 and -0.691 for the respective correlations, suggesting a high inverse correlation. Additionally, a statistical significance of 0.000 was observed, supporting the presence of a significant relationship between these variables
