Abstract
La presente investigación de enfoque cuantitativa, descriptiva-correlacional, de corte transversal fue realizada en internos de enfermería del Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo 2022- 2023, con el objetivo de determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y práctica en la prevención de accidentes por material punzocortante. El universo muestral estuvo constituido por 60 internos de enfermería de la UNT; en los cuales se aplicó el cuestionario Nivel de conocimiento para la prevención de accidentes por material punzocortante y la Guía de observación para prevención de accidentes por material punzocortante. El procesamiento de los resultados se desarrolló con SPSS versión 25 y fueron organizados en tablas de simple y doble entrada, tomando en consideración formas numéricas y porcentuales, referente a los resultados, se concluyó que: El nivel de conocimiento en la prevención por material punzocortante en internos de enfermería fue alto con un 36.7% y regular con un 63.3% ; en cuanto a la práctica para prevención por material punzocortante en su mayoría fueron inadecuadas con un 70% y adecuadas con un 30 % .S egún la prueba estadística Gamma utilizado existe relación significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento y práctica para la prevención de accidentes por material punzocortante (p= 0.037)
The present research with a quantitative, descriptive-correlational, cross- sectional approach was carried out in nursing interns of the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo 2022-2023, whose objective was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practice in the prevention of accidents due to material sharp The sample universe consisted of 60 nursing interns from UNT; in which the questionnaire Level of knowledge for the prevention of accidents due to sharp materials and the Observation guide for the prevention of accidents due to sharp materials were applied. The processing of the results was developed with SPSS version 25 and they were organized in single and double entry tables, taking into consideration numerical and percentage forms, referring to the results, it was concluded that: The level of knowledge in the prevention of sharp materials in nursing interns were high with 36.7%, regular with 63.3% and none obtained a low level of knowledge; Regarding the practice for prevention of sharp materials, the majority were inadequate with 70% and adequate with 30%. According to the Gamma test used in the statistical analysis, there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and practice for the prevention of sharp materials. accidents due to sharp materials (p= 0.037)
