Abstract
La presente investigación de tipo cuantitativa y descriptiva, se realizó en el Centro Poblado Alto Trujillo, con el objetivo de describir el nivel de conocimiento materno sobre higiene personal en preescolares beneficiarios de la ONG “Caminando Hacia Ti”, Alto Trujillo - El Porvenir, 2021. El universo muestral estuvo conformado por 40 madres de preescolares de 3 a 5 años de edad beneficiarios de la ONG “Caminando Hacia ti” que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó el instrumento Cuestionario sobre hábitos de higiene personal en preescolares, el mismo que fue aplicado, teniendo en cuenta los protocolos de bioseguridad frente a la COVID - 19. Los datos recolectados fueron tabulados y procesados en el software estadístico SPSS versión 25 y, se presentan en tablas estadísticas, con frecuencias numéricas y porcentuales, donde se encontró que el nivel de conocimiento materno sobre higiene personal en preescolares fue predominantemente de nivel medio con un 82.5 por ciento, seguido del nivel alto con un 15.0 por ciento y finalmente un nivel bajo de 2.5 por ciento

This quantitative and descriptive research was carried out in the Alto Trujillo Populated Center, with the aim of describing the level of maternal knowledge about personal hygiene in preschool children who are beneficiaries of the ONG "Caminando hacia ti", Alto Trujillo - El Porvenir, 2021. The sample universe was made up of 40 mothers of preschool children from 3 to 5 years of age, beneficiaries of the ONG "Caminando hacia ti" who met the inclusion criteria. For data collection, the questionnaire on personal hygiene habits in preschoolers was used, the same instrument that was applied, taking into account the biosafety protocols against COVID - 19. The data collected was tabulated and processed in the SPSS statistical software. version 25 and, they are presented in statistical tables, with numerical and percentage frequencies, where it was found that the level of maternal knowledge about personal hygiene in preschool children was predominantly medium level with 82.5 percent, followed by the high level with 15.0 percent and finally a low level of 2.5 percent.
