Abstract
Poaceae(13 especies), Cyperaceae (12 especies), Fabaceae (9 especies), Asteraceae(4
especies) y Boraginaceae,Polygonaceae y Pteridaceae (3 especies).
Wetlands are natural ecosystems, capable of providing numerous ecosystem services, highlighting their ability to purify polluted waters, due to the presence of plant species capable of bioaccumulating or biodegrading these compounds. Being necessary the identification and characterization of these species, for this reason it was proposed as a research objective to carry out the floristic analysis and ecogeography of the phytoremediating species, of the lower basin of the Moche River, La Libertad, Peru; information that will serve as the basis for formulating the necessary management and conservation strategies in these areas. For this, periodic botanical explorations were carried out between 2018 and 2021, in order to collect species and their subsequent identification in the Truxillense Herbarium of the National University of Trujillo (HUT). Reporting the presence of 72 species of flora with phytoremediation potential of the Lower Moche River basin, which are distributed in 57 genera and 27 families; being the most representative for their number of species Poaceae (13 species), Cyperaceae (12 species), Fabaceae (9 species), Asteraceae (4 species) and Boraginaceae, Polygonaceae and Pteridaceae (3 species).
