encuesta a personal sanitario.

Thesis to opt for the title of Mechatronics Engineer, Faculty of Engineering, National
University of Trujillo.
The objective of this research is to develop a remote monitoring system that measures
vital signs: pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation in patients with home treatment
using cloud computing and client-server models, identifying itself as an engineering
project. For it, a survey was applied to health personnel. Then, the selection of
components was made based on the preparation of comparative tables and compatibility
arrays for the sensors, the cards for the acquisition and transmission of data and the
communication interfaces, as well as the platforms that use the cloud computing model,
the API REST programming interface and their respective communication protocols.
Likewise, the best compatible combination of the solution concepts for the system was
selected following the guidelines of the design methodology according to standard VDI2206.
For the design, Eagle and SolidWorks software were used for the circuit board and the
support pieces for the sensors and container, respectively. Its implementation was carried
out using the serigraphy method and additive manufacturing with PLA. For
programming, libraries for Arduino and Python were implemented, such as those
developed by SparkFun and Adafruit, for pulse and oxygen saturation sensors, and
temperature, respectively. As well as the Request, time and PySerial libraries in the
programming of the data transmission board, carrying out tests with different
configurations for the system and implementing the ThingSpeak platform.
Finally, the validation was carried out, using statistical tests and a demonstration of data
according to the judgment of experts and the background of the investigation.
