Relación entre la inteligencia emocional, la toma de decisiones y el éxito en el logro de metas en los estudios y el trabajo

Abstract
Este estudio analiza la relación de tres variables: la Inteligencia Emocional (IE); la Eficacia en la Toma de Decisiones (ETD); y el Éxito en el Logro de Metas en los estudios y el trabajo (ELMET). Se ha realizado a nivel Descriptivo-Correlacional, con carácter comparativo, prospectivo, transversal y de observación. Se ha utilizado una muestra conformada por 369 estudiantes del último ciclo de estudios de las Escuelas de la UNT; y 147 empresarios afiliados a la Cámara de Comercio de la Libertad. Se han aplicado tres instrumentos: El Inventario de Cociente Emocional de BarOn (ICE), la Escala de Eficacia en la Toma de Decisiones (ETD) y la Encuesta de Satisfacción de Expectativas de Éxito (ESEE) las dos últimas preparadas y validadas por el autor de la investigación. Los resultados encontrados mediante correlación canónica, confirman la hipótesis: Existe una correlación positiva entre la Inteligencia Emocional, la Eficacia en la Toma de Decisiones y el Éxito en el Logro de Metas en los estudios y el trabajo, que se verifica en los resultados de las correlaciones canónicas, cuyo valor es 0.62 y 0.43 para los estudiantes y empresarios respectivamente, que indican una correlación alta en el primer caso y moderada en el segundo.
Description
This study analyzes the relationship between the three variables: The Emotional Intelligence (EI), the Efficacy in taking decisions (ETD), and the success of goals achieved in the studies and the work. (SGASW). It has been carried out in a descriptive-correlational level with comparative, prospective, transversal and observation character. It has used a sample, it was formed by 369 students of the last cycle of Higher Education of the National University of Trujillo, and 147 businessmen who belong to The Trade Chamber of La Libertad. It has applied three means: Baron’s Emotional Quotient Inventary, the Scale of Efficacy in Taking Decisions and the Survey of Satisfaction of Success’s Expectative, both last were prepared and gave validity by the Research Author. The result found through the canonical correlation confirm the hypothesis: There is a positive correlation between the Emotional Intelligence, the Efficacy in taking decision and the success of goals achieved in the studies and the work, and it’s verified in the results of the canonical correlation which value is 0.62 and 0.43 for the students and businessmen respectively, which show a high correlation in the first case and moderate in the second.
