Abstract
ABSTRACT In the concrete it is necessary to perform a concrete curing; It brings so many and varied benefits to a concrete structure, and it can be so simple to implement, that not doing so is simply wasting its benefits. The curing not only influences the final strength of the concrete, but also decreases the permeability and improves the resistance of the concrete skin to the ingress of gases (CO2, Oxygen), necessary elements, some to depass the reinforcement and the others to cause corrosion. The present project called "INFLUENCE OF THE CURING TIME WITH WATER ON THE RESISTANCE OF THE COMPRENSION OF THE CONCRETE", aims to determine the influence of the time of curing with water in the compressive strength of concrete, at the ages of 14 and 28 days , which must be in accordance with the concrete designed in the laboratory and thus identify the maximum compressive strength according to the age of the concrete for each of the samples. To carry out the experiment, an experimental design was applied in strips, which consisted of making concrete specimens with a mix design of 210 Kg / cm2, for which the characterization of the aggregates was determined, the test consisted of curing the concrete of 1 to 7 days and determine its resistance at 14 and 28 days of age of concrete with 4 repetitions each. The results obtained from the test indicate that the highest average compression strength of the concrete was achieved on the fifth day of curing, which was 191.71 Kg / cm2, and the statistical analysis indicates that there were no significant differences with 5% probability on days 6 and 7 of curing.
