Abstract
El objeto de la presente investigación fue determinar si la actual gestión del terminal portuario de Salaverry contribuye en el desarrollo socioeconómico del Distrito de Salaverry. Habiéndose recopilado y analizado información estadística de las distintas instituciones públicas y privadas que interactúan con el puerto de Salaverry dentro de la cadena logística intermodal, mediante una investigación aplicada y descriptiva además de documental e histórica. Los resultados permitieron interpretar la actual gestión de la infraestructura y de los servicios portuarios y la manera de como la gestión portuaria influye en el desarrollo socioeconómico del distrito de Salaverry. Todo esto dentro de un marco competitivo necesario para las distintas industrias de producción tales como la agroindustria, minería, pesquería, etc. y actividades conexas que necesitan del puerto y su infraestructura. Se evidenció que la gestión del transporte marítimo en la zona aún permanece estática sin proveer los cambios generacionales del entorno. Se presentan indicios de cambio en busca de la competitividad sujeto a la aceptación de sus stackeholders, iniciándose concesiones portuarias, procurando reducir la brecha generacional de la infraestructura actual versus la necesaria para atender los nuevos retos logísticos del desarrollo regional y sus áreas de influencia.
Description
The purpose of this investigation is to determine if the current management of the port of Salaverry terminal contributes to the socioeconomic development of the District of Salaverry. For which it has been collected and analyzed statistical data from the various public and private institutions that interact with the port of Salaverry in the intermodal logistic chain through an applied and descriptive well as documentary and historical research. The results allow interpreting the current management of the infrastructure and services to shipping lines that are part of the necessary logistics apparatus for different importers and / or exporters and how to port management as influences socio-economic development of the district Salaverry, expanding its regional and national influence. All this within a competitive framework for the various manufacturing industries such as agribusiness, mining, fishery, etc. and related activities that need the port and its infrastructure; and the flow of shipping charges for future projects. It was evident that the management of shipping in the area still remains static without providing generational changes in the environment; signs of change are presented in search of competitiveness subject to acceptance of its stackeholders, starting port concessions, trying to bridge the generation gap versus the current infrastructure necessary to meet the new logistical challenges of development in the region and their areas of influence.
