Abstract
En la presente investigación se ha evaluado la incidencia el crecimiento económico y los niveles de pobreza en la Región La Libertad, con la finalidad de contribuir al conocimiento de la realidad socioeconómica de la población menos favorecida y mejorar el diseño de políticas económicas con miras a reducir los niveles de desigualdad. Se ha examinado datos y registros estadísticos del producto bruto interno real de la Región La Libertad, así como también los niveles de pobreza total y pobreza extrema, y el coeficiente de GINI, proporcionados por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática. Luego se estimó el modelo econométrico según la fórmula, pobrezai = β0 + β1PBIri + εi. y el modelo Logpobrezai = β0 + dumy + β1LogPBIri + β1dumyLogPBIri + εi Se encontró en el primer modelo que los coeficientes son estadísticamente significativos, pero existe el problema de autocorrelación debido al quiebre estructural, por lo cual se incorporaron en el segundo modelo variables dicótomas para identificar y superar el problema de quiebre estructural, aumentando la significancia estadística y el grado de explicación a un 74.89% La presente investigación concluye que la incidencia del crecimiento económico ha sido positiva para las familias de la Región La Libertad, pues en el modelo econométrico se evidencia la relación inversa entre estas dos variables, es decir, si aumenta el PBI real entonces disminuye los niveles de pobreza.

In the present investigation the incidence has been evaluated the economic growth and the levels of poverty in the Region La Libertad, with the purpose of to contribute to the knowledge of the less favored population's socioeconomic reality and to improve the design of political economic with an eye toward reducing the levels of inequality. It has been examined data and statistical registrations of the real internal gross product of the Region La Libertad, as well as the levels of total poverty and extreme poverty, and the coefficient of GINI, provided by the National Institute of Statistic and Computer science. Then he was considered the pattern econometric according to the formula, pobrezai = β0 + β1PBIri + εi. and the pattern Logpobrezai = β0 + dumy + β1LogPBIri + β1dumyLogPBIri + εi in the first model that the coefficients are statistically significant, but does the autocorrelation problem exist due to the one it breaks structural, reason why they did incorporate in the second model variable dichotomies to identify and to overcome the problem of it breaks structural, increasing the statistical significance and the explanation grade to 74.89% The present investigation concludes that the incidence of the economic growth has been positive for the families of the Region La Libertad, because in the pattern econometric the inverse relationship is evidenced among this two variables, that is to say, if the real PBI increases then it diminishes the levels of poverty.
