| dc.description.abstract | Estudio cualitativo descriptivo, su objetivo analizar las experiencias de la enfermera frente al cuidado del prematuro en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Regional de Cajamarca en 2022, basado en Teoría del Cuidado Humano de Jean Watson. La muestra incluyó 8 enfermeras que cumplían con los criterios de inclusión. Utilizando la entrevista no estructurada - observación participante. Se transcribió del EMIC al ETIC sin cambiar el mensaje; codificando y analizando, emergiendo tres categorías y subcategorías: 1. “Reconociendo la importancia de brindar cuidados con base científica.” subcategorías: Habilidades científicas de la enfermera para el cuidado. Reconociendo la importancia de tener especialidad en cuidados intensivos neonatales. 2.“Experimentado emociones al cuidar a un prematuro”, subcategorías: Surgiendo emociones positivas y negativas. Generando sentimientos maternales en las enfermeras. 3. “Experimentando dolor frente a la muerte del prematuro”, subcategorías: creando emociones frente a la muerte del neonato prematuro, nostalgia por el bautizo. Reconociendo la importancia de la base científica para la evolución y manejo adecuada del prematuro. Destacando la necesidad de conocimientos especializados con base científica para brindar cuidado de calidad. | dc.description.abstract | The objective of this descriptive qualitative study was to analyze the experiences of nurses regarding the care of premature babies in the Intensive Care Unit of the Regional Hospital of Cajamarca in 2022, based on Jean Watson's Theory of Human Care. The sample was made up of 8 nurses who met the inclusion criteria. An unstructured interview and participant bservation were carried out. The EMIC language was transcribed into Word, passed to the ETIC, preserving the meaning of the speeches; was coded and analyzed, emerging three categories and subcategories: 1. “Recognizing the importance of providing science-based care.” with the subcategories: Scientific skills of the nurse for care. Recognizing the importance of having a specialty in neonatal intensive care. 2. “Experienced emotions when caring for a premature baby”, with the subcategories: Emerging positive and negative emotions. Generating maternal feelings in nurses. 3. “Experiencing pain in the face of the death of the premature neonate” with the subcategories: creating emotions in the face of the death of the premature neonate and nostalgia for the baptism. The findings revealed that nurses recognize the importance of the scientific basis for the evolution of the neonate and its proper management. In addition, the need for specialized knowledge in neonatal intensive care nursing based on scientific evidence to provide quality care was highlighted.
