Abstract
El presente informe de prácticas pre profesionales es descriptivo, retrospectivo y transversal, el cual tuvo como objetivo determinar el consumo y costo de metformina 850mg tabletas en pacientes ambulatorios de un establecimiento de salud público, Julio - Diciembre 2021. La diabetes mellitus es una enfermedad crónica no transmisible que según la American Diabetes Association (ADA), es un problema que genera que los niveles de glucosa en la sangre incrementen fuera de lo normal. La diabetes mellitus tiene varios tipos: Diabetes Mellitus tipo 1, Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2, diabetes gestacional y otros tipos específicos de diabetes. Dentro de los grupos farmacológicos antidiabéticos de primera elección, se encuentran las biguanidas siendo más conocida la metformina. Los datos se obtuvieron mediante la tarjeta de control visible del medicamento y del registro de ventas del sistema integrado de suministros de productos farmacéuticos, dispositivos médicos y productos sanitarios (SISMED) del establecimiento de salud público, Julio - Diciembre 2021, y se procesó empleando la unidad de medida de dosis diaria definida /1000 habitantes /día (DHD) en Microsoft Excel versión 2019. El consumo total fue de 14990 unidades dispensadas de metformina 850mg tabletas y el costo total fue de S/ 1499 ; el consumo en unidades dispensadas fue mayor en Noviembre con 2900 unidades dispensadas y en menor en Diciembre con 1860 unidades dispensadas; así mismo el consumo expresado en Dosis Diaria Definida por mil habitantes en un día en el mes de Noviembre fue mayor con 0,73 DDD/habitantes/día y menor en Diciembre con 0.457 DDD/habitantes/día ; y el costo mensual de metformina 850 mg tabletas fue mayor en Noviembre con S/ 290 y menor en Diciembre con S/ 186.
ABSTRACT This pre-professional practice report is descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional, which aimed to determine the consumption and cost of metformin 850mg tablets in outpatients of a public health facility, July - December 2021. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease noncommunicable that according to the American Diabetes Association (ADA), is a problem that causes blood glucose levels to increase outside of normal. Diabetes mellitus has several types: Diabetes Mellitus type 1, Diabetes Mellitus type 2, gestational diabetes and other specific types of diabetes. Within the antidiabetic pharmacological groups of first choice, are the biguanides, the best known being metformin. The data was obtained through the visible drug control card and the sales record of the integrated system of supplies of pharmaceutical products, medical devices and health products (SISMED) of the public health establishment, July - December 2021, and was processed using the unit of measurement of defined daily dose /1000 inhabitants /day (DHD) in Microsoft Excel version 2019. The total consumption was 14,990 dispensed units of metformin 850mg tablets and the total cost was S/ 1,499; Consumption in units dispensed was higher in November with 2900 units dispensed and lower in December with 1860 units dispensed; Likewise, the consumption expressed in Defined Daily Dose per thousand inhabitants in one day in the month of November was higher with 0.73 DDD/inhabitants/day and lower in December with 0.457 DDD/inhabitants/day; and the monthly cost of metformin 850 mg tablet was higher in November with S/ 290 and lower in December with S/ 186.
