Abstract
Los dispositivos móviles como la tablet, la laptop y especialmente el smartphone, debido a su fácil portabilidad y acceso a internet, ha permitido el uso masivo en la población;en un inicio, para la comunicación y el entretenimiento y, posteriormente, en la enseñanza aprendizaje de jóvenes en edad escolar. En el presente informe detallamos en forma descriptiva la importancia del uso del smartphone como medio de enseñanza-aprendizaje en el área de ciencias sociales en los estudiantes del VII ciclo de Educación Secundaria de la Institución Educativa (I.E) “San Nicolás” de la ciudad de Trujillo, logrando desarrollar de manera muy eficiente, tanto competencias del área, como de la competencia 28 y 29, respectivamente, establecidas en el DCNB por el Ministerio de Educación del Perú.
