Abstract
El presente estudio de tipo observacional, descriptivo, de corte transversal; tuvo como objetivo principal determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre Salud Bucal en madres que asistieron al programa “Control de crecimiento y desarrollo en inmunización”, realizado en el Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray en los meses Octubre – Diciembre del año 2015. La muestra estuvo conformada por 211 madres que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Para determinar el nivel de conocimiento, se elaboró un cuestionario validado de 24 preguntas, los resultados fueron presentados en tablas estadísticas de entrada simple y doble. Los resultados demostraron que el nivel de conocimiento sobre Salud Bucal fue regular con un 83.9%, el 14.7% tuvo un nivel bueno y el 1.4% un nivel malo. Sobre medidas preventivas, el 53.1% tuvo un nivel bueno, el 39.3% un nivel regular y el 7.6% un nivel malo. Sobre el conocimiento de enfermedades bucales el 61.6% fue regular, el 25.6% fue bueno y el 12.8% fue malo. Sobre crecimiento y desarrollo dental, el 51.2% tuvo un nivel malo, el 40.8% fue regular y el 8% un nivel bueno. Además se encontró una estrecha relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la edad de la madre.
The present observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study; Its main objective was to determine the level of knowledge about oral health in mothers who attended the program "Control of growth and development in immunization", held at the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital in the months October - December 2015. The sample consisted of 211 mothers who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. To determine the level of knowledge, a validated questionnaire of 24 questions was elaborated, the results were presented in simple and double entry statistical tables. The results showed that the level of knowledge about oral health was regular with 83.9%, 14.7% had a good level and 1.4% a bad level. On preventive measures, 53.1% had a good level, 39.3% a regular level and 7.6% a bad level. About the knowledge of oral diseases 61.6% was regular, 25.6% was good and 12.8% was bad.
