Abstract
La presente investigación es cuantitativa, descriptiva de corte transversal, se realizó con el objetivo de determinar la relación entre el apoyo emocional y la ansiedad de pacientes en emergencia del hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo. La muestra seleccionada aleatoriamente fue de 129 pacientes que ingresaron a emergencia durante el periodo de estudio de Julio a Setiembre del 2016 a las cuales se les aplicó una encuesta. Los resultados obtenidos son los siguientes: El 57% de los pacientes percibieron un tipo de apoyo emocional “malo” y el 52% tienen un nivel de ansiedad “severa”; además se calculó el valor Chi-cuadrado 8.563 con p-valor 0.014, dando como conclusión de la investigación que existe una relación significativa entre el apoyo emocional brindado por la enfermera(o) y la ansiedad en paciente de emergencia del hospital regional docente de Trujillo.
Description
The present investigation is quantitative, descriptive of cross section, it was realized with the objective of determining the relation between the emotional support and the anxiety of patients in emergency of the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo. The randomly selected sample consisted of 129 patients admitted to emergency during the study period from July to September 2016, to whom a survey was applied. The results obtained are as follows: 57% of patients perceived a type of "bad" emotional support and 52% had a "severe" level of anxiety; In addition, the Chi-square value 8.563 with p-value 0.014 was calculated, giving as conclusion of the investigation that there is a significant relationship between the emotional support provided by the nurse and the anxiety in the emergency patient of the regional teaching hospital of Trujillo.
