Abstract
En la presente investigación se aplicó un Programa de Intervención Vivencial Computarizado (VICO), la cual se desarrolló en base a visitas de estudio y fue complementada con el uso del Software matemático denominado MATLAB, para mejorar el rendimiento académico de los alumnos del Quinto Grado de Educación Secundaria del C.E.E. Rafael Narváez Cadenillas, en el área de Matemática, Trujillo – 2003, con el propósito de desarrollar en ellos su identidad nacional basada en nuestra matriz andina, la relación de la realidad con la matemática, sus sentidos, sus procesos mentales y así obtener un aprendizaje significativo. La muestra de estudio estuvo conformada por dos grupos: el grupo control y el grupo experimental, ambos integrados por 32 alumnos, aplicándose el pretest y postest en un diseño cuasiexperimental con dos grupos no aleatorios. Ambos tipos de test aplicados permitieron medir el rendimiento académico en el área de Matemática. Se logró demostrar, después de aplicar la prueba Z de comparación de medias, que los alumnos mejoraron significativamente su rendimiento académico en el área de Matemática.
In the present research I applied one Intervention Programme called VICO, which was developed according to the study visit and it was completed with the use of a math software called MATLAB, in order to improve the academic performance in students of fifth grade of secondary of the Rafael Narváez Cadenillas School, in the mat area, Trujillo – 2003. The sample of study had two groups: the control group and experimental group, both of them were integrated by 32 students, applying the pretest and postest in a cuasiexperimental design with two groups aleatory no. Both types of test applied let us to measure the academic performance in the math area. It got to show that after applying the test Z of comparison of mean, the students who belonged to the experimental group could improve their academic performance in the math area meaningfully.
