Abstract
El presente estudio es de tipo descriptivo, transversal, retrospectivo cuyo propósito estuvo enfocado en determinar el consumo de Ceftazidima en los diferentes servicios del Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray en el año 2006, a fin de evaluar la tendencia de consumo, así como posibles desviaciones en el transcurso del año, que supongan un uso indiscriminado de este medicamento. El consumo de Ceftazidima fue expresado en DDD/100 camas-día, utilizando la metodología recomendada por el Centro Colaborador de la Organización Mundial de la Salud para la Metodología de los estudios de Utilización de Medicamentos. Los datos se obtuvieron del sistema computarizado del departamento de Farmacia y de Estadística del hospital. El consumo total de este antibacteriano fue de 2.82367 DDD/100 camas-día. El servicio que presentó un mayor consumo fue la UCIN con 6.3520 DDD/100 camas-día y se alcanzó el pico más alto en el mes de Octubre con 7.390 DDD/100 camas-día. El consumo de Ceftazidima durante el año 2006 presentó una curva de tendencia variable con un coeficiente de correlación positivo, no estadísticamente significativo.
Description
The present study is descriptive, traverse and retrospective type, whose purpose was focused in determining the consumption of Ceftazidima at different services of Victor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital in 2006, in order to evaluate the consumption tendency, also possible deviations in the course of the year that suppose an indiscriminate use of this medication. The consumption of Ceftazidima was expressed in DDD/100 bed-day, using the methodology recommended by the Collaborating Center of the World Organization of the Health for the Methodology of the studies about use of Medications. The data were obtained of the on-line system of the department of Pharmacy and Statistic of the hospital. The total consumption of this antibacterial one was of 2.82367 DDD/100 bed-day. The service that presented a bigger consumption was the UCIN, with 6.3520 DDD/100 bed-day and it reached its higher pick in October, with 7.390 DDD/100 bed-day. The consumption of Ceftazidima in 2006 presented a curve of variable tendency with a positive correlation coefficient, not statistically significant
