Abstract
Este estudio se realizó con el objetivo de determinar la relación entre las habilidades sociales y el rendimiento académico en ciencias sociales en estudiantes de segundo de secundaria de un colegio público, Chao – 2023. La población y la muestra estuvo compuesta por 52 estudiantes entre varones y mujeres por lo que no fue necesario aplicar un muestreo. Esta investigación se realizó bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, teórico y relacional, con un diseño no experimental. El instrumento utilizado fue el cuestionario para cada una de las variables. Los resultados evidenciaron que las habilidades sociales y el rendimiento académico en ciencias sociales se relacionan significativamente (sig. = 0,049) con una correlación de Rho de Spearman de 0,274, por lo que existe una relación baja y directa entre las variables, indicando que, a mayor desarrollo de habilidades sociales, mayor será el rendimiento académico.
