Abstract
El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo determinar las características fisicoquímicas y evaluar el efecto del aceite esencial de las hojas de Satureja boliviana sobre íleon aislado de Cavia porcellus. Para la obtención del aceite esencial se utilizo el método de hidrodestilación de Clevenger con un rendimiento de 1.33%. A partir de la obtención del aceite esencial se determino las características organolépticas que fueron olor agradable; color amarillento; sabor freso y mentolado y textura aceitosa, la densidad relativa, el pH y el índice de refracción del aceite esencial de las hojas de Satureja boliviana fueron 0.876, 5.37 y 1.481 respectivamente; posteriormente para determinar el efecto antiespasmódico del aceite esencial Satureja boliviana se evaluó concentraciones al 0.05%, 1.0%, 2.5% y 5.0% sobre las contracciones inducida por acetilcolina, respecto a la amplitud y frecuencia en el íleon aislado, utilizando seis especímenes de Cavia porcellus. Se utilizo como medicamento patrón el N-metilbromuro de hioscina. Se concluyo que el tratamiento de aceite esencial de las hojas de Satureja boliviana 0,5% a la dosis de 0,2mL fue el más efectivo (p < 0,05) en comparación a los demás tratamientos de 0,25%, 0,1%, 0,05%; pero no tanto como el tratamiento de N-Butilbromurohioscina (p < 0,05), sobre la motilidad inducida por la acetilcolina referente a la amplitud y la frecuencia en íleon aislado de Cavia porcellus.
Description
The present work had as objective to determine the physicochemical characteristics and to evaluate the effect of the essential oil of the leaves of Satureja boliviana on ileum isolated from Cavia porcellus. To obtain the essential oil, the Clevenger hydrodistillation method was used with a yield of 1.33%. From the obtaining of the essential oil we determined the organoleptic characteristics that were pleasant smell; Yellowish color; Strawberry and mentholate flavor and oily texture, relative density, pH and refractive index of the essential oil of Bolivian leaves were 0.876, 5.37 and 1.481 respectively; To determine the antispasmodic effect of the essential oil Satureja boliviana was evaluated concentrations at 0.05%, 1.0%, 2.5% and 5.0% on the contractions induced by acetylcholine, regarding the amplitude and frequency in the isolated ileum, using six specimens of Cavia porcellus . Hyoscine N-methylbromide was used as the standard drug. It was concluded that the treatment of essential oil of leaves of Satureja boliviana 0.5% at the dose of 0.2mL was the most effective (p <0.05) compared to the other treatments of 0.25%, 0, 1%, 0.05%; But not so much as the treatment of N-Butylbromurohioscine (p <0.05), on acetylcholine-induced motility related to the amplitude and frequency of ileum isolated from Cavia porcellus
