Apoyo familiar y prácticas en el cuidado del recién nacido por madres primerizas

Abstract
El presente estudio de investigación es descriptivo, correlacional y de corte transversal, que se realizó en el Hospital Leoncio Prado, del distrito de Huamachuco con la finalidad de determinar la relación entre el nivel de apoyo familiar y las prácticas en el cuidado del recién nacido por madres primerizas. La muestra estuvo constituida por 135 madres primerizas que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó los instrumentos: Cuestionario de apoyo familiar sobre el cuidado del recién nacido en madres primerizas y el cuestionario para evaluar las prácticas del cuidado del recién nacido, cuyos resultados muestran que el 60% de las madres primerizas percibieron un apoyo familiar en un nivel regular y sus prácticas en el cuidado del recién nacido en un nivel medio; seguido del 57.7%, que percibieron un nivel adecuado de apoyo familiar y un nivel medio de práctica de cuidado. En cuanto al nivel de apoyo familiar el 96.3% consideran "adecuado" y solo el 3.7% consideran un nivel "regular". Con respecto a identificar las prácticas en el cuidado del recién nacido el 57.8%, califican su nivel "regular" y el 42.2% un nivel "alto" de prácticas en el cuidado del recién nacido. En conclusión un grupo significativo de madres se siente muy seguras y competentes en su capacidad para cuidar a sus bebés recién nacidos, por lo tanto no hay relación significativa entre ambas variables (rs=0.160, sig.=0.064
The present research study is descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional, which was carried out at the Leoncio Prado Hospital, in the district of Huamachuco with the purpose of determining the relationship between the level of family support and practices in the care of the newborn by first time mothers. The sample consisted of 135 first-time mothers who met the inclusion criteria. To collect data, the instruments were used: Family support questionnaire on newborn care in first-time mothers and the questionnaire to evaluate newborn care practices, the results of which show that 60% of first-time mothers perceived support family at a regular level and their practices in caring for the newborn at a medium level; followed by 57.7%, who perceived an adequate level of family support and a medium level of care practice. Regarding the level of family support, 96.3% consider it "adequate" and only 3.7% consider it a "regular" level. With respect to identifying practices in newborn care, 57.8% rate their level as "regular" and 42.2% rate a "high" level of practices in newborn care.
