dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en el Distrito de Santiago de Chuco, La Libertad durante los meses de abril a julio de 2019, teniendo como objetivo describir el manejo agronómico de quinua. Las variables estudiadas fueron obtenidas de las encuestas realizadas a los agricultores, se consideraron el tamaño de las unidades productivas, cantidad, calidad y manejo de la semilla, época de siembra, variedades sembradas, modalidad de preparación de terreno, labores culturales, fertilización, riegos, control de malezas, plagas y enfermedades; época de cosecha y costos de producción. La preparación de terreno y surcado se realiza en forma mecanizada, la siembra se realizó manualmente a chorro continuo, utilizando entre 12-16 kg.ha-1 de semilla, la fertilización lo realizan con la aplicación de fertilizantes químicos a la siembra y después del desmalezado. Los rendimientos varían entre 800 a 1200 kg.ha-1. El 10% de los agricultores registra costos de producción.es_PE
