Abstract
The present quantitative, descriptive-correlational cross-sectional research was carried out with the objective of determining the relationship between the quality of visual self-care and the level of visual computer syndrome in nursing students at the Trujillo campus of the National University of Trujillo - 2023. For this purpose, the sample consisted of 111 students, selected through stratified probability sampling. Two instruments were used for data collection: a questionnaire to evaluate the quality of visual self-care and another to evaluate the level of visual computer syndrome. Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS version 27 were used for data processing, and the results were presented in statistical tables. The relationship between the variables was made through Spearman's correlation coefficient, obtaining the following results: 49.5% of the total number of nursing students presented a regular quality of visual self-care, 32.4% a poor quality and 18.0% a good quality; in reference to the SVI, 48.6% presented a moderate level, 31.5% a high level and 19. % a low level. It is concluded that most of the nursing students presented a fair quality of visual self-care with a moderate level of SVI and an indirect correlation was found to exist at a high level and with a significance value of p < 0.05
