Abstract
Parásitos pertenecientes a cuatro Phylum y seis Clases: PLATYHELMINTHES: Monogenea; Microcotyle caballeroi y Metamicrocotyla macracantha. Digenea; Ovarionematobothrium c.f. saba NEMATODA: Cromadorea; Anisakis c.f. simplex ARTHROPODA: Hexanauplia; Naobranchia lizae. Copepoda; Lernanthropus trachuri y Bomolochus sp. ACANTHOCEPHALA: Palaeaconthocephala; Corynosoma obtuscens.
The general objective of this research report is to determine the diversity and prevalence of parasites in fish for direct human consumption sold in the wholesale market of Trujillo, Peru, 2023, in three commercial species: “mullet” Mugil cephalus, “mackerel” Scomber japonicus peruanus and “jack mackerel” Trachurus murphyi. A total of 100 specimens were examined for each species, which were obtained by stratified random sampling. A greater diversity and prevalence of parasites was found in mullet, followed by jack mackerel and finally mackerel. Parasites belonging to four Phylum and six Classes: PLATYHELMINTHES: Monogenea; Microcotyle caballeroi and Metamicrocotyla macracantha. Digenea; Ovarionematobothrium c.f. saba NEMATODA: Cromadorea; Anisakis c.f. simplex ARTHROPODA: Hexanauplia; Naobranchia lizae. Copepoda; Lernanthropus trachuri and Bomolochus sp. ACANTHOCEPHALA: Palaeaconthocephala; Corynosoma obtuscens. The presence of parasites of public health importance for causing zoonosis in humans was also determined: Anisakis c.f. simplex.
