Abstract
ABSTRACT The objective of this research work was to carry out organoleptic and physicochemical quality controls of cosmetic facial bases sold in the Albarracín emporium, in the city of Trujillo - 2024. 20 cosmetic facial bases obtained from the Albarracín Emporium were analyzed, and a comparison was also made. with facial bases purchased from pharmacies in the city of Trujillo. In the organoleptic control according to Decision No. 833 of the Andean Community of Nations and the stability guide for cosmetic products of ANVISA, the following were evaluated: presentation, color, smell, texture and sensation on the skin; In the physicochemical analysis, pH, viscosity, density and extensibility were evaluated. The results of the organoleptic evaluation of the analyzed products met: 80% presentation, 70% color, 50% smell, 60% texture and 80% skin sensitivity; Regarding the physicochemical parameters of the analyzed products, they met: 100% pH, 70% density, 80% viscosity and 70% extensibility. The comparison of the organoleptic and physicochemical quality of the facial bases from Emporio Albarracín and the pharmacies resulted in 80% compliance for Emporio Albarracín and 100% compliance for the pharmacy bases. It is concluded that 80% of the facial cosmetic bases sold at Emporio Albarracín were in compliance according to the evaluation criteria.
