Abstract
La presente tesis, muestra la influencia de un Sistema de gestión editorial (OJS)
como una herramienta que les permita a los jefes editores, controlar, planificar, organizar
y hasta cierto punto automatizar las tareas a través de sus plataformas editoriales,
obteniendo así una mayor identificación de puntos estratégicos con el objetivo de llegar
a un mayor número de publicaciones e indexaciones sin perder la calidad de publicación
y contenido.
Para ello, se analizó la data obtenida de cada jefe editorial de diferentes
universidades de la región La Libertad, midiendo así diferentes indicadores que permitan
observar el desempeño que este sistema cumple dentro de las revistas editoriales y
también poder identificar su importancia.
Los resultados obtenidos en el presente trabajo deberían tomarse como un
acercamiento a la posibilidad de mejora de los diferentes procesos editoriales que
abarquen y permitan la trazabilidad de la calidad académica universitaria, a través de la
implementación de diferentes herramientas de gestión de calidad que les permita
aumentar sus incentivos para que diversos autores realicen sus publicaciones lo cual se
traduciría en el incremento de publicaciones científicas, de otro lado también se
invocaría a que la gerencia universitaria apoye financieramente este tipo de sistemas con
el fin de sostener la calidad investigativa en diferentes ramas a lo largo del tiempo.
This thesis shows the influence of an Editorial Management System (OJS) as a tool that allows editor-in-chiefs to control, plan, organize and to get certain extent automate tasks through their editorial platforms, thus obtaining different identification of strategic points with the target of reaching a meaningful number of publications and indexing without losing the quality of publication and content. To do this, we get data through each editor-in-chiefs head of different universities in La Libertad region, then we are analyzing different indicators that allow us to observe the performance that this system achieves within the editorial journals and be able to identify its importance. The results obtained in this work should be taken as an approach to the possibility of improving the different editorial processes that cover and allow the traceability of university academic quality, through the implementation of different quality management system, that allow publications to increase. On the other hand, it will be an incentive for various authors that are interesting in to publish, which would translate into an increase in scientific publications. Otherwise, university management would also be called upon to financially support this type of systems to get sustain research quality in different branches throughout over time.
