dc.description.abstractObjetivo: El presente estudio de tipo experimental, prospectivo y comparativo, tuvo como objetivo comparar la capacidad buffer salival por consumo de carbohidrato en los diferentes niveles de caries de niños de 5 años. Material y Métodos: Las 160 muestras de saliva fueron obtenidas probabilísticamente y se clasificaron en 5 grupos de 16 niños según el nivel de caries (ceod). De cada niño se analizó una muestra basal (antes de ingerir carbohidrato) y una muestra posterior a la ingesta de carbohidrato. La saliva se recolectó siguiendo el protocolo establecido por Tomas Seif28 para saliva estimulada, realizando la medición de la capaciad Buffer con el método clásico de Ericsson29. Para analizar la significancia estadística entre las medias de las diferentes pruebas se realizó la prueba F del análisis de varianza con frecuencia de covariable utilizando el software SPSS-20.0. Resultados: La capacidad buffer de saliva estimulada posingesta presentó un promedio de 4.85 ± 0.73 en los niños con nivel muy bajo de caries, en el grupo con nivel bajo fue de 5.35 ± 0.62, en el moderado de 5.22 ± 0.39, en nivel de caries alto 4.74 ± 0.44 y en el grupo con nivel muy alto 4.75 ± 0.41 (p<0.01). Al comparar la capacidad buffer salival preingesta y posingesta de carbohidrato en los diferentes niveles de caries de niños de cinco años se encontró una variación de 1.03 ± 1.13 (p<0.01) para nivel muy bajo de caries, 0.86 ± 0.81(p<0.01) para el grupo con nivel bajo, 0.63 ± 4 0.67(p<0.01) en el nivel moderado, en el grupo con nivel alto 1.38 ± 0.51(p<0.01) y 1.31 ± 0.54(p<0.01) para el grupo con muy alto nivel de caries. Conclusión: La capacidad buffer salival por consumo de carbohidrato difiere en los diferentes niveles de caries en niños de cinco años.es_PE
dc.description.abstractObjective: The objective of this experimental, prospective and comparative study was to compare the salivary buffer capacity by carbohydrate consumption in the different caries levels of 5-year-old children. Material and Methods: The 160 samples of saliva were obtained probabilistically and were classified into 5 groups of 16 children according to the level of caries (ceod). From each child, a basal sample (before carbohydrate intake) and a sample after carbohydrate intake were analyzed. The saliva was collected following the protocol established by Tomas Seif28 for stimulated saliva, performing the measurement of the Buffer capacity with the classic Ericsson method29. To analyze the statistical significance between the means of the different tests, the F test of the variance analysis with covariable frequency was performed using the SPSS-20.0 software. Results: The capacity of saliva stimulated postpressum showed an average of 4.85 ± 0.73 in children with very low level of caries, in the group with low level it was 5.35 ± 0.62, in the moderate group of 5.22 ± 0.39, in caries level high 4.74 ± 0.44 and in the group with very high level 4.75 ± 0.41 (p <0.01). When comparing the salivary buffer capacity of the pre-ingested and posingesta carbohydrate in the different caries levels of children of five years, a variation of 1.03 ± 1.13 (p <0.01) was found for a very low level of caries, 0.86 ± 0.81 (p <0.01) for the group with low level, 0.63 ± 4 0.67 (p <0.01) in the moderate level, in the group with high level 1.38 ± 0.51 (p <0.01) and 1.31 ± 0.54 (p <0.01) for the group with very high level of caries.
