Abstract
Esta tesis tiene como objetivo establecer la filiación cultural y función del sitio arqueológico Cerro Compañía G, el cual está ubicado en el departamento de La Libertad, provincia de Trujillo, distrito de Laredo, en el centro poblado de Quirihuac.
Inicialmente, este estudio se basa en el registro, análisis e interpretación de la evidencia arqueológica in situ: arquitectura y cerámica; con el propósito de, establecer la función, la cronología relativa del sitio y su distribución espacial; así mismo, reconocer la morfología de la cerámica, sus características y las técnicas decorativas.
La cerámica del sitio presenta características del estilo Salinar en sus dos fases: Fase Temprana (entre los 400a.C. a 200a.C.) y Fase Tardía (entre los 200a.C.); y, aspectos característicos del estilo Gallinazo (200a.C. a 200d.C.).
Por otro lado, el sitio arqueológico Cerro Compañía G, cumplió funciones domésticas y ceremoniales. En definitiva, este estudio brinda información preliminar que será de suma importancia para futuras investigaciones

The present research aims to establish the cultural affiliation and function of the Cerro Compañia G archaeological site, located in the department of La Libertad, province of Trujillo, district of Laredo, in the town of Quirihuac.
Initially, this study is based on the registration, analysis and interpretation of the archaeological evidence in situ: architecture and ceramics; with the purpose of establishing the function, the relative chronology of the site and its spatial distribution; likewise, recognize the morphology of ceramics, its characteristics and decorative techniques.
The ceramics of the site show characteristics of the Salinar style in its two phases: Early Phase (between 400B.C. and 200B.C.) and Late Phase (between 200B.C.); and, characteristic aspects of the Gallinazo style (200 A.B. a 200 B. C.).
On the other hand, the Cerro Compañia G archaeological site fulfilled domestic and ceremonial functions. Ultimately, this study provides preliminary information that will be of great importance for future research.
