Abstract
El presente estudio fue titulado: Actitudes hacia la lectura y comprensión lectora en estudiantes del sexto ciclo de la Institución Educativa San Juan Bautista, tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre las actitudes hacia la lectura y los niveles de comprensión lectora en estudiantes del sexto ciclo de la Institución Educativa San Juan Bautista, Buena Vista. Se empleó una metodología cuantitativa y un diseño correlacional, que permitió analizar cómo las actitudes se relacionan con los tres niveles de comprensión: literal, inferencial y crítico, la cual se aplicó a un grupo muestral de 140 estudiantes del sexto ciclo. Los resultados mostraron que existe una relación significativa entre las actitudes positivas hacia la lectura y un mejor desempeño en el nivel literal e inferencial; sin embargo, en el nivel crítico no existe relación alguna. Se concluye que las actitudes hacia la lectura son un factor determinante en el desarrollo de habilidades lectoras. Además, se recomienda implementar estrategias pedagógicas que fomenten actitudes positivas hacia la lectura, especialmente en contextos rurales.
