La muestra estuvo constituida por un total de 72 estudiantes quienes cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y decidieron participar voluntariamente; de los cuales 21 estudiantes pertenecen al tercer año (29.16%), 22 estudiantes al cuarto año (30.55%), y 29 estudiantes pertenecen al quinto año (40.27%). A quienes se les aplicó una encuesta validada a juicio de expertos. Los resultados obtenidos nos demuestran que el nivel de conocimientos en la atención de pacientes con VIH, en estudiantes de Estomatología de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo en el año 2023, fueron los siguientes, en tercer año el 42.4% tiene el nivel “Malo”, el 52.4% tiene el nivel “Regular”, el 4.8% tiene el nivel “Bueno”; en los estudiantes del cuarto año el 54.5% tienen un nivel “Malo”, el 40.9% tiene nivel “Regular”, el 4.5% tiene nivel “Bueno”; en el quinto año de los estudiantes, el 31.0% tiene el nivel “Malo”, el 65.5% tiene nivel “Regular” y solo el 3.4% tiene el nivel “Bueno”. Se concluyó que el nivel de conocimientos sobre atención a pacientes con VIH, en estudiantes de Estomatología de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo-2023; es predominantemente “Regular”.The objective of this basic, descriptive, cross-sectional and free-regime investigation was to determine the level of knowledge about the care of patients with HIV, in Dentistry students of the National University of Trujillo-2023. The sample consisted of a total of 72 students who met the inclusion criteria and decided to participate voluntarily; of which 21 students belong to the third year 29.16%, 22 students to the fourth year 30.55%, and 29 students belong to the fifth year 40.27%.
