The sample is made up of 111 patients hospitalized in the surgery service A. The instruments used are two: Scale of the quality of nursing care and the scale of patient satisfaction. The results obtained was: 93.7 % are satisfied and 6.3% are not satisfied, about quality of nursing care, 78.4% of patients perceived the nursing care as good, 15.3% as regular and 1.5% as bad. There is a highly significant correlation between both variables with a probability of 0.000.El presente estudio de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo, correlacional y de corte transversal, se realizó con el objetivo de determinar la relación que existe entre la calidad del cuidado de enfermería y el nivel de satisfacción percibida por el paciente. La muestra estuvo constituida por 111 pacientes hospitalizados en el servicio de cirugía A; la recolección de datos se realizó a través de la aplicación de dos instrumentos: Escala sobre la calidad de cuidado de enfermería y la Escala de satisfacción percibida por el paciente. Los resultados obtenidos fueron: el 93.7 por ciento se encuentran satisfechos y el 6.3 por ciento están insatisfechos; en cuanto a la calidad de cuidado el 78.4 por ciento de los pacientes percibieron el cuidado de enfermería como bueno, 15.3 por ciento como regular y el 1.5 por ciento como malo.
