It can be observed that in Educational Institutions the basic values _x000D_ are not being properly practiced, such as respect, responsibility, punctuality, among others, _x000D_ leading to the exercise of anti-values. Therefore, the study objective of this work is the use _x000D_ of children's stories as a didactic resource for the development of values in students; as well _x000D_ as communication skills at the primary level. This work is based on Ausubel's Reception _x000D_ Learning Theory, where the student must learn the content that he is asked to understand and _x000D_ incorporate into his cognitive structure and then reproduce it and relate it to other learning _x000D_ and subsequently solve future problems. Likewise, it is also based on the theory of Teun Van _x000D_ Dijk, who maintains that the different texts all differ from each other, not only because of _x000D_ their different communicative and social functions that they can emit to the reader, but that _x000D_ they have different types in their construction, it is for that reason that; Children have been _x000D_ able to interact with various texts, including children's stories where children can understand _x000D_ them and later produce a text. Finally, this research work aims to propose the use of stories _x000D_ as a strategy to improve the communication skills of 1st grade students of the Educational _x000D_ Institution No. 80089 - "Señor de Huamán" of primary education and especially at _x000D_ cultivation of values that are being lost today. Likewise, it can also be used as a reference _x000D_ for further studies.Actualmente en nuestra sociedad hay una pérdida de valores debido a muchos factores, entre _x000D_ ellos los familiares, sociales, económicos y educativos. Se puede observar que en las _x000D_ Instituciones Educativas los valores básicos no se están practicando adecuadamente, como _x000D_ el respeto, la responsabilidad, la puntualidad, entre otros, llevando a ejercer antivalores. Por _x000D_ lo cual, el objetivo de estudio del presente trabajo es el uso de los cuentos infantiles como _x000D_ recurso didáctico para el desarrollo de los valores en los alumnos; así como el de las _x000D_ competencias comunicativas en el nivel primario. Este trabajo se sustenta en la Teoría del _x000D_ aprendizaje por Recepción de Ausubel, donde el estudiante debe aprender el contenido que _x000D_ se le solicita que comprenda y lo incorpore a su estructura cognitiva para después _x000D_ reproducirlo y relacionarlo con otros aprendizajes y posteriormente solucione futuros _x000D_ problemas. Así mismo también se fundamenta en la teoría de Teun Van Dijk, quien sustenta _x000D_ que los diferentes textos se diferencian todos entre sí, no sólo por sus diferentes funciones _x000D_ comunicativas y sociales que puedan emitir al lector, sino que poseen diferentes tipos en su_x000D_ construcción, es por ello que; los niños han podido interactuar con diversos textos entre ello, _x000D_ los cuentos infantiles donde los niños puedan comprenderlos y posteriormente producir un _x000D_ texto. Finalmente, este trabajo de investigación tiene como propósito, plantear el uso de los _x000D_ cuentos como estrategia para mejorar las competencias comunicativas de los alumnos de 1° _x000D_ grado de la Institución Educativa N° 80089 - “Señor de Huamán” de educación primaria y _x000D_ en especial al cultivo de valores que se están perdiendo hoy en día.
